What we collect
When you use a Foothold form, we may collect your name, company, work email, role, country, sector, stage of market entry and the question you submit. The website and its service providers may also process limited technical information needed for delivery, security and troubleshooting, such as an IP address, browser or device information and request time.
Why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and take steps you request before a possible engagement.
- To deliver a requested brief or notify you when a relevant sector edition is ready.
- To manage client relationships, protect the website and improve our service.
- To meet legal, accounting and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal data. We do not use a form submission for unrelated marketing unless you separately choose to receive it.
Who helps us process it
We use carefully selected service providers to operate the website, receive form submissions and manage business email. They process personal data only as needed to provide these services and under appropriate data-protection arrangements. Any processing outside the European Economic Area is handled using safeguards recognised under applicable data-protection law.
How long we keep it
- General enquiries: normally no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Free-brief requests: long enough to fulfil the request and reasonable follow-up, normally no longer than 12 months.
- Sector waitlist requests: until the relevant edition is available, you withdraw, or 24 months have passed.
- Client and accounting records: for the period required by applicable law.
We may keep information for longer when necessary to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, object to its use, or receive a portable copy. You may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Contact us at hello@footholds.eu. You may also complain to the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate or your local data-protection authority.
Cookies and similar technologies
At launch, Foothold does not use advertising or marketing cookies. The hosting service may use strictly necessary technologies for security and operation. If we later add non-essential analytics or marketing tools, we will update this notice and introduce consent controls where required.
Updates
We may update this notice when the website, providers or legal requirements change. The date above shows the current version.
